The 2004 Suzuki Volusia 800 is a great cruiser bike. I don't like the seating position of a performance sport bike. Sport bike also means insane speed, which is something that I don't really need. What I am looking for is a cruiser motorcycle that is comfortable for a long, long drive over the weekend, and the 2004 Suzuki Volusia 800 has exactly what I am looking for.
Below is a list of new and used Suzuki Volusia 800 for sale.

Even though the Volusia 800 is a huge bike - it is even larger than some Harley bikes, it is actually very lightweight and is very easy to handle and live with.
The 805 cc. Vee-twin engine block produces exhilarating sounds and electric like silky smooth power output. The response of the engine to the change of the throttle is not all that substantial which means that this can actually be a great large engine bike for first time buyers. I can say the same about the brakes - they provide a high level of stopping power, but not more than what you are expecting. In other words, you will not get sudden acceleration and abrupt stops. Both do pose some threats to the new bikers.
Thanks to the low center of gravity, the handling is considered good for a bike this huge. New bikers can easily handle the Volusia 800 without any problems. The great suspension setting also helps provide a very predictable and manageable ride. Cornering sharp bends should not be a problem as long as you don't take your bike (and you) to the limits.
Now let's talk about the ride comfort. One of the major reasons people buy the Volusia is the comfortable ride it provides on long distance journeys. The seats are very comfortable and ergonomic. Thanks to the long wheelbase, you and your passenger will get plenty of room. Leg room is aplenty too. Another suggestion I have for you, if you regularly bike long distance, is to install a comfy backrest. This way, your passenger will get more support and comfort and the two of you do not have to be squished together.
The Suzuki Volusia is pretty close to perfect. With the Suzuki Volusia 800, one huge problem exists for the freezing cold winter. During the freezing cold days, it will take some time, and some choke, before you can successfully start the Volusia and get the engine running.
The Suzuki Volusia is a very good cruiser motorcycle. It is pretty much an all rounder. Its engine packs a punch, even though the bike is not insanely quick. The bike is very comfortable for carrying two persons over the long haul – you will not even feel tired as you reach your destination. Handling is agile and nimble. Other than that, you can create a lot of storage compartments for your items. The only problem is that it takes time to start during the cold winter days. Other than that, the Volusia 800 is close to being perfect.
