Suzuki GS500 is a popular entry level motorcycle manufactured b the Suzuki Motor Corporation. The bike is named GS500F since 2004 onwards. Before 2004, it was known as GS500 or GS500E. The unfaired version of the GS500 was released in the US in 1989. It was provided with an air-cooled 487 cc parallel twin engine.

The bike fits me very well. The seat is very comfortable and the bike is a great option for you if you are looking for a more upright seating position. I have always felt uncomfortable riding a motorcycle that has a low and flat seating position. Other than that, the seat is extremely ergonomic and comfortable. I have traveled more than a couple hundred miles on the bike without feeling any soreness or fatigue.

The bike is not that heavy and being so lightweight, the GS500 suits beginners very well. It is very easy to maneuver and handle at low speeds.

Another thing that just needs to be mentioned is the fuel consumption of the GS500. The bike runs on little fuel and will fit you great if you do care for the environment. Even if you love quick and sudden accelerations, you will find that the fuel consumption of the bike is still extremely lean. I get 60 miles out of each gallon of fuel - and you are wrong if you think this is the freeway riding only. I average 60 miles per gallon of gas with both urban and freeway riding! This also means that the bike is very easy to live with. No huge fueling costs involved. Just lean and efficient transportation.

Just like most performance bikes manufactured with the huge S logo, this bike has sweet and precise handling. It seems that Suzuki has always had a knack for producing great handling bikes. The suspension setting is next to flawless if you enjoy some twisty roads. Even beginners will feel confident about turning the bike into the sharp bends at higher than average speed.

For a 500 cc. bike the GS500 has swift acceleration, but then most other entry level performance bikes from other companies will beat the GS500 in a drag race. This is obviously not a problem if you are just new to sport bikes, but if you are looking for more power and insane speeds, this bike is not for you, and you will need to look elsewhere.

Value for money : I would say that the GS500 is a great entry level performance sport bike. It handles well and has oodles of comfort. For those casual bikers and newbies, this bike is definitely good enough. If you are looking for insane acceleration and top speed, you will need to look elsewhere as this bike does not offer enough pace for those who enjoy a good thrill out of every sudden and rapid acceleration.

All in all, the GS500 from Suzuki is a great option for those who are looking for their first sport bike.

So what's so special about the SV1000S? First of all, being a liter class bike, you get a 1000 cc. engine that produces oodles of power. The engine is a V-twin one, so that means that you get access to the huge power reserve at any speed or RPM. There is so much power that sometimes you won't even need to down shift to a lower gear. Ask and you shall receive as is the case with the SV1000S. You get rocket propelling speed any time you desire.

Engine

The Suzuki SV 100S is a large V-twin manufactured over 120 bhp at the rear wheel when it first appeared in the TL1000S. But it was unfortunate that the bike had handling issues. As a result, Suzuki tamed it to a little over 100 bhp. It is claimed that the power of the engine of the bike is 118 bhp.

With such a strong engine, you will be getting a mind boggling top speed and even more stunning acceleration.

Ride and Handling

Aluminum frame with traditional suspension helps the bike to work well. Although the suspension of the bike is not quite as good as pure sports bikes, it is suitable for most users. You will find that the SV1000S is extremely willing to change directions at high speeds. The handling of the bike is excellent - just like other Suzuki produced performance bikes. Seating

The seat is not comfortable. I know this can be subjective but most of the bikers who own the SV1000S agree that it is not meant for a long range weekend, or even week-long road trip. You will feel some soreness in your back and legs in an hour. A simple solution to this is to change the original seat with something more supportive and comfortable. On the other hand though, many will enjoy the sporty and aggressive seating position.

To conclude this article, the Suzuki SV1000S is an all-around bike. It is easy to ride, has a user friendly engine, competitively priced, and possesses almost perfect dynamics. It is also very reliable and with regular servicing and maintenance, it should serve you for many years to come. However, it is not without any cons. Its seat is not comfortable. The engine heats up easily and does not do a good job dissipating the heat. Besides, it is not smooth or comfortable enough for a long drive. Despite these cons, I still like this bike a lot.

The Suzuki SV650 is on the lighter side of the weight scale. Add to that the responsive engine, and you will get a very fun drive out of it every single time. It does corner well thanks to the suspension setting that is just spot on. The great handling capability also allows for a quick change of direction, and the bike will accommodate any rapid direction change without throwing any tantrum. Just like most performance bikes produced by Suzuki, the handling is very good indeed, and I have nothing to complain about.

The power generated by the 650 cc engine block of the SV650 is more than sufficient. Acceleration from a standstill to the century mark can be done in about four seconds, which just proves one thing - it is awfully fast! Another interesting fact is that the Suzuki SV650 does hold the record for the fastest medium speed acceleration - this means that overtaking other motorcycles as well as fast cars can be done with great ease!

The 2004 Suzuki Marauder 800 is a Cruiser style motorcycle. It is efficiently equipped with an 805cc, Liquid Cooled, V Twin, SOHC, 4-Stroke Engine and a 5-Speed Manual Transmission. It has an Inverted Fork Front Suspension while the Rear Suspension consists of a Twin Sided Swing Arm. The Marauder 800 has Front Disc Brakes and Rear Drum Brakes. The Marauder 800 weighs 456 pounds and has a ground clearance of 5.3 inches.

I started my biking with the 2004 Suzuki Marauder 800. Unlike most other people, I simply do not like the fact that my first high performance bike needs to be slower and lightweight. The 2004 Suzuki Marauder 800 caught my eye and won my heart at the first sight. If you are shopping for a cruiser style bike, then you will no doubt like the Marauder.

Having an 800 cc. engine, you will instantly know just how powerful the bike is. The engine packs a punch and allows you to propel away at high speeds with great ease. The physical appearance of the bike is simply stunning. It is solidly built and the paints and parts are well put together. It does look strong, solid and highly durable.

I would also add that the Marauder 800 is a very easy bike to live with. First of all, I have not had any major problems and defects with the bike. A regular servicing will also only enhance the durability and reliability of the bike in the long run. It does not swallow the fuel by the gallons as well. The appetite of the bike is not that big. But then of course, with the huge engine block, we would naturally relate it to have poor fuel efficiency. I am glad that's not the case, as you can easily travel more than 40 miles per gallon of fuel. If you are not one who likes sudden acceleration and high speed cruising, you definitely can travel more than 55 miles per gallon of gas - even with a passenger!

Of course, just like any other bikes, the Marauder 800 is not perfect. You will find it quite difficult to start the bike and get the engine running smoothly during a freezing cold winter morning. Another con of the bike is the poorly made and uncomfortable saddle or seat of the bike. This will not prevent you from purchasing the bike though - as you can easily replace the stock seating with something more comfortable and supportive. You will also have to manually disengage the turning signals.

Style:

The bike looks amazing. It possesses a very nice and well-polished V Twin, chrome valve covers, air cleaner cover, pipes, chrome chain guard and chrome everything else to match. The bike is aerodynamic and low. Besides, it has a stretched out look to it.

Suspension

Both small and large bumps get absorbed by the suspension to give you a more comfortable ride. Other than that, the bike’s suspension is tuned so that it can provide a better level of handling to the biker.

Transmission:

Smooth shifting is what you can expect from the gearbox.

To end this article, I would say that if you are looking for something very economical, the Marauder is definitely the best choice for you. The ride is stable and comfortable and the bike handles real well. All in all, it is a great bike.

The Suzuki Intruder LC 1500 is a bike that is styled to turn your heads wherever and whenever you go. It is all about excitement.

Where it scores:

Just like everything in the world, the Suzuki Intruder LC 1500 is not perfect. There are some pros and cons. The Suzuki Intruder LC 1500 is no exception. As far as its high points are concerned, the Suzuki Intruder LC 1500 provides a more comfortable and supportive ride. It has a super comfy saddle. Among the high performance bigger cruisers, the Suzuki Intruder LC 1500 is the most affordable. Coupled with better than average handling as well as a strong engine, this bike from Suzuki is definitely a good option.

Cons:

Now let’s talk about the disadvantages that this bike provides. It is difficult to make a quick start because of its grabby clutch. Another thing that you will notice is the poor fuel consumption which leads to a limited traveling distance.

To end this article, I will say the Intruder 1500 LC is a great cruising bike. It is extremely easy to live with, which is surprising for such a heavy and huge motorcycle. I personally think it looks great, but then looks are something subjective. The only drawback of this otherwise excellent bike is the poorly composed and poorly functioning clutch. If you enjoy a road trip during the weekends, then this high comfortable and capable bike definitely should be placed at the top of your shopping list.
